Discover Engineering Family Day at the National Building Museum

February 22-28, 2015 is also known as  Engineers Week, or EWeek for short. EWeek is dedicated to raising public awareness of the important contributions engineers make to our society and out quality of life. During this week, there are many activities going on across the country designed to promote the importance of Engineering and STEM education.

One of these special events is happening right here in Washington DC. On February 28th, The National Building Museum is hosting its annual Discover Engineering Family Day.  The event is designed to expose elementary school students (ages 4-12) and their families to the wonders of engineering. There will be lots of hands-on and mind-challenging activities. Most of the exhibitors will offer giveaways that you can take home.  Best of all, the event is free!

I plan to attend, and hope that I see many of you there! What a great opportunity to spend the day exploring the exciting world of engineering.
